Program Description

Event Details

Kent County Public Library is throwing a (virtual) Garden Party to celebrate the coming of spring!

This event is fully interactive (your questions and enthusiasm will be a key part of the experience!) and will work a little bit differently than other online programs you may have attended.

THE GARDEN PARTY

Here's what to expect:

  1. We'll gather at 10am for a series of quick information sessions presented by Master Gardeners and UME staff. Topics include:
        * Garden Design with Native Plants
        * Baywise Gardening
        * Mushroom Logs
        * Insects
        * Vegetable Gardening
    This part of the program will be like many virtual events you've attended and will last 30-40 minutes.

  2. Each presenter will then host their own individual breakout room where they'll be answering your questions about their topics. You can envision this part of the program as if you're circulating among different conversations at a garden party or visiting tables at a festival.

    You'll be free to visit all the rooms or just topics of particular interest to you. Library staff will be available to help you with the process of moving between virtual spaces, so please don't be worried about the additional tech component! This part of the program is scheduled to run until noon, though may wrap up earlier if all the questions are answered.
