Shred Day is back! Happening this year on April 25, 2026 from 11 AM - 3 PM in the rear parking lot of the Main Library, Oakland. Sponsored by the Friends of the Ruth Enlow Library in partnership with Sunrise Shred, Shred Day is your opportunity to safely get rid of your old documents.
The Sunrise shred truck will be located in the parking area behind the Main Library, accessed by the alley off of Center Street and across from Our Town Theatre. We encourage members of the community to bring any documents that need shredding, such as credit applications, returned checks, personal information of any kind, investment and tax data – anything that is considered confidential.
