- In honor of Memorial Day, Bob Hensley of VFW Post 10077 will be giving a talk at the Friendsville Library.

- This event is open for all ages with take-home activities for kids. 

- Robert Hensley is a lifelong Resident of GC and has been the Sr Construction Project Manager for SML/T-Mobile Wireless for the last 19 years. Married to his wife Joyce for 33 years, they have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. He served 21 years in the US Army as a Combat Engineer, and is a Veteran of the first Gulf War. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, belongs to Post 10077 in Deer Park, and held the position of Commander in 2011 and from 2015 to present. He has been the District 3 commander for 11 years over seeing all VFW post in Allegheny, Garrett and Washington Counties. Presently, he holds the Position of Surgeon for the State Dept of MD VFW. Hensley has also been the president for the last five years on the committee for the Veterans Memorial being built outside the Town of Friendsville.
