You have the power to restart a heart. High-quality CPR + AED are critical to saving lives.

Get ready to design, build and launch your very own kite.  In this hands-on class, youth will explore the science of flight. Participants will build and decorate their own kite and learn how lift, drag, wind and balance make a kite fly.

Come to the library for an hour of free building based on a new theme each month. Completed builds may be displayed in the library for others to enjoy. This program is designed for ages 4 and up. 

Registration is not required.

Lego Club is designed for children ages 4 and up and features free building time with lots of building bricks. Children are encouraged to build a creation based on a new theme each month. Staff may display completed builds in the library.

Join Naturalist Chance from Deep Creek Lake State Park for a Reptile Encounter! Chance will have some critters that slither and strut through the forest!

To celebrate National Space Day, Create a galaxy in a jar to display at home! Best for ages 10 to adult. Make sure you wear clothes that you can get messy! Registration required so we can have enough supplies for each person.

The art of pressed flowers and leaves class will provide participants the opportunity to create their own plant presses and design dried flower or leaf window displays.

Join us for an engaging class that will ignite creativity and foster a love for nature as youth participants design their very own mini fairy frog garden.

Join us for SuGO™, the not-so-ancient art of building Sumo Wrestling Robots using Lego Mindstorms. Participants will construct a SuGObot and then test their designs in a knock-down double-elimination SuGO™ tournament.
